Young Performers Shine in Mahabharat Adaptation

Young performers took centre stage on Saturday as YMC Studio presented an adaptation of the Mahabharat, showcasing the talent and dedication of its young cast. The production, put together after just 15 days of intensive rehearsals, saw children portray characters such as Shakuni Mama and Draupadi with confidence and sincerity.

Mentorship and Vision

Mentored by Pratigya Ghosh, the initiative aimed to introduce children to the Mahabharat beyond its mythology, encouraging them to understand the emotions, conflicts and choices that define its characters. Through theatre, the young actors explored themes of duty, morality and resilience while developing their own creative expression.

Production Highlights

The performance was supported by elaborate sets, creative costumes and thoughtful lighting design, while dance sequences added to the storytelling. The young cast's dedication was evident in their portrayal of complex roles, bringing ancient epic tales to life on stage.
