DSP Reveals Rangasthalam Songs Composed in Four Days

The 2018 village drama film 'Rangasthalam', starring Ram Charan, received widespread acclaim for its raw and realistic storytelling. However, one of the most memorable aspects of the film was its brilliant music, composed by Devi Sri Prasad (DSP). Recently, the music composer revealed a fascinating behind-the-scenes detail: almost all the songs in the film were composed in just four days.

DSP Reveals Details About the Songs

During a recent interaction with Rajesh Manne, Devi Sri Prasad shared that all the songs for 'Rangasthalam' were completed in a remarkably short span of time. According to the composer, the only track not finished during those four days was 'Jigelu Rani'. This popular dance number featured Pooja Hegde in a special appearance alongside Ram Charan and later became a massive chartbuster.

About 'Rangasthalam'

Directed by Sukumar, who later delivered the superhit 'Pushpa' franchise, 'Rangasthalam' revolves around Chittibabu, a partially deaf but kind-hearted man who fights against a corrupt village president alongside his brother Kumar Babu. The film starred Ram Charan in the lead role, with Samantha Ruth Prabhu, Jagapathi Babu, Prakash Raj, Naresh, Sunil Barve, and Aadhi Pinisetty playing important roles.

Released in theatres in March 2018, 'Rangasthalam' turned out to be a massive commercial success. In addition to strong box office collections, the movie received high praise for its performances, story, music, and emotional portrayal.

Ram Charan's Collaborations with Sukumar

Interestingly, Ram Charan is set to collaborate with Sukumar again in the upcoming movie tentatively titled 'RC17'. The film is expected to go on floors after Ram Charan's next movie 'Peddi'. 'Peddi', one of the most anticipated films, is scheduled to hit the big screens on June 4. The film is co-backed by Sukumar's production house and is helmed by Buchi Babu Sana, who also worked with Ram Charan in 'Rangasthalam'.

Devi Sri Prasad's revelation adds a fascinating layer to the legacy of 'Rangasthalam', showcasing the incredible efficiency and creativity of the music composer. The film's soundtrack, which includes hits like 'Rangamma Mangamma' and 'Yentha Sakkagunnave', continues to be celebrated by fans.
