Ellie Goulding Teases New Album After 2023's 'Higher Than Heaven'
Ellie Goulding Teases Sixth Studio Album Release Soon

Singer-songwriter Ellie Goulding is preparing to release her sixth studio album. The 39-year-old artist has not released a full-length LP since 2023's 'Higher Than Heaven', but she has now teased that her next project will arrive "soon", reports 'Female First UK'.

Collaboration with TikTok Discovery

Speaking to The Sun, Goulding revealed, "I've spent the past few years working really closely with a brilliantly talented producer and multi-instrumentalist called Jack Rochon. I actually found him on TikTok when he was still relatively undiscovered, living in Canada." She elaborated, "He's since moved to Los Angeles and worked with Beyonce. I immediately connected with what he was doing creatively. I have always loved discovering emerging talent and championing new voices, just like I did when I first started out and discovered Starsmith. We've recorded hundreds of songs together, and I loved the freedom of exploring different sounds, feelings, thoughts, and experiences. It felt really organic and honest, like journaling through music."

New Single 'Black Prada Dress'

As per 'Female First UK', the 'Anything Can Happen' hitmaker recently debuted her single 'Black Prada Dress' in North East England. Discussing the track, Goulding said, "There's not one definitive experience that inspired it. It's directed at that negative, critical voice bringing you down. And that voice could be your own, internal voice, that self-critical, destructive one. I feel like we all have one of those, just like we have different versions of ourselves. I love the honesty of it, the rawness, and I hope people can connect to it in their own way."

Personal Inspiration Behind the Album

The chart-topping artist's forthcoming record addresses her separation from ex-husband Caspar Jopling in 2024 after five years of marriage. Goulding, who has a four-year-old son Arthur with Jopling, never expected to release a "divorce album". The album promises to be an honest reflection of her experiences, blending personal storytelling with the innovative sounds she has developed with Rochon.
