Possession Remake: Qualley and Turner Cast

The 1981 cult horror classic Possession, starring Isabelle Adjani and Sam Neill, is being remade after nearly 45 years. The film, which earned Adjani a Best Actress award and critical acclaim, will feature Margaret Qualley and Callum Turner in the lead roles, according to a recent report from Vanity Fair.

New Cast and Production Details

Qualley, known for her role in The Substance, and Turner, famous for Fantastic Beasts, have been cast to lead the project, currently in development. The remake is being produced by Parker Finn, director of the horror film Smile, alongside Robert Pattinson.

Parker Finn's Vision

In a 2024 interview with SFX Magazine, Finn expressed his excitement about the project, calling Possession one of his favorite films. He stated, “It’s early days, but we’re incredibly excited about this completely bonkers movie. Possession is one of my favorite films of all time, and so what was really important to me was that we were honoring the original and staying true to its absolute frenzied, manic ferocity.”
