The anticipation surrounding Cocktail 2 has been steadily building ever since promotional content for the romantic entertainer started capturing public attention. Directed by Homi Adajania, the film features Shahid Kapoor, Kriti Sanon, and Rashmika Mandanna in lead roles. With its theatrical release approaching, the project has become one of the most closely watched films of the month.
Massive Budget Details Emerge
Recent reports from Bollywood Hungama indicate that Cocktail 2 has been mounted on an expensive scale. Industry insiders suggest it could be among the costliest romantic comedies ever made in Hindi cinema. According to the report, the production cost of Cocktail 2 is approximately Rs. 95 crores, with an additional Rs. 35 crores allocated for the combined fees of Shahid, Kriti, and Rashmika. Beyond production and actor remuneration, promotional and publicity expenses have also significantly added to the overall cost. The total estimated investment is believed to have reached nearly Rs. 150 crore.
Makers Focus on Grand Presentation
The production house reportedly avoided limitations while developing the project, instead focusing on delivering a larger cinematic experience. The same report stated, “Dinesh Vijan is among the few producers in Hindi cinema who doesn’t compromise once he believes in a vision. Cocktail 2 is not being treated as just another romantic comedy; it has been mounted like a big-screen entertainer. At a time when most producers would hesitate to spend Rs. 150 crores on a film in this genre, Dinesh has gone all out on scale, locations, music, styling and presentation. That conviction is what makes Maddock and Dinesh stand apart today.”
Kriti Sanon Visits Tirumala Temple
Meanwhile, actress Kriti Sanon recently visited the Sri Venkateswara Swamy Temple in Tirumala. She offered prayers and participated in rituals, appearing in traditional attire. The visit came as promotional activities for Cocktail 2 continue to intensify. The trailer has already introduced viewers to the central story and characters: Shahid Kapoor plays Kunal, while Rashmika Mandanna and Kriti Sanon portray Diya and Ally, respectively.
