Lucknow: Governor Anandiben Patel and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath attended a special screening of the film Krishnavataram, which portrays the life journey of Lord Krishna, at the Lok Bhawan auditorium on Sunday evening. The event was also attended by several ministers and elected representatives, including newly inducted ministers who had taken their oath of office earlier in the day.
Film Declared Tax-Free
The Uttar Pradesh government has declared Krishnavataram tax-free in the state. Chief Minister Adityanath directed the information department to organize special screenings of the film in every district over the coming days. He emphasized that children and youth should learn about Sanatan culture and its legacy through the film.
CM Praises Governor's Granddaughter
During the event, Chief Minister Adityanath praised Sanskruti, the granddaughter of Governor Anandiben Patel, for her role in the movie. He remarked that it was a proud moment for any grandmother to see younger generations achieve success and contribute to cultural preservation.
Audience Response
The auditorium resonated with chants of Radhe Radhe and Krishna Krishna before and during the screening. The film depicts key episodes from the Dwapar Yug, based on Hindu mythology associated with that era, and portrays Krishna's journey in human form. Senior officials and public representatives also participated in the screening, making it a significant cultural event in the state capital.
