According to industry rumors, director Paul George's pan-Indian Malayalam film 'Kattalan', starring Antony Varghese (Pepe) in the lead, is now expected to hit screens on May 28 this year.
Release Date Speculation
The speculation gained traction after an assistant film director shared a poster on Instagram indicating a May 28 release. Actor Anson Paul also shared the same poster, further fueling the belief. However, the film's producers have not officially confirmed the date.
Music Director Change
Earlier, the makers surprised fans by bringing on board acclaimed music director Ravi Basrur, replacing Ajaneesh Loknath, who was initially announced as the composer. Ajaneesh Loknath is known for his work on 'Kantara 2'.
Production Updates
In February, the makers announced that filming had wrapped. While a May 14 release was previously mentioned, the completion announcement only specified May without a date. The production house also paid tribute to stuntmen by releasing footage of a four-wheeler flipping during a stunt sequence.

The film is produced by Shareef Muhammed of Cubes Entertainments, known for the blockbuster 'Marco'. It stars Antony Varghese and Rajisha Vijayan in lead roles, along with Rapper Baby Jean, Telugu actor Sunil (known for 'Pushpa: The Rise', 'Pushpa 2', 'Jailer'), Kabir Duhan Singh, and veteran actors Jagadeesh and Siddique. Additionally, actors Parth Tiwari, Anson Paul, and Shon Joy (debut in 'Alappuzha Gymkhana') are part of the cast.
