Nizami Bandhu Enchants Hyderabad with Sufi Qawwali Night

Rose petals, soulful poetry, the melodious sound of harmonium, and rhythmic tabla beats set the mood for an unforgettable mehfil at a popular dining venue in Jubilee Hills recently. The Kun Faya Kun-famed Nizami Bandhu performed before an intimate gathering of around 150 guests, turning the evening into an immersive Sufi experience.

An Evening of Sufi Music and Poetry

Brothers Shadab Faridi Nizami and Sohrab Faridi Nizami led the performance, with guests showering rose petals after almost every couplet in appreciation. The audience swayed, sang along softly, and responded to every crescendo with loud cheers of 'wah wah', recreating the warmth and spirit of a classic qawwali gathering.

Intimate Baithak-Style Setting

The intimate baithak-style arrangement allowed the duo to frequently interact with the audience. At times, they appreciated guests for singing along with them, and at other times, they playfully teased them, adding to the warmth of the evening.
