Ram Charan's upcoming film 'Peddi,' directed by 'Uppena' fame Buchi Babu Sana, is set for release on June 4, with the trailer dropping on May 18. As promotions ramp up, director Buchi Babu Sana shared intriguing details about the film and how it got the green light.
No Chiranjeeji Approval Needed
Many assume that Megastar Chiranjeevi reviews every script before Ram Charan signs a film. However, Buchi Babu Sana clarified that this was not the case with 'Peddi.' According to a report by 123Telugu, Ram Charan made the final decision independently after hearing the story.
Story Narration Details
The director recounted, "I narrated the script to Charan sir. He instantly hugged me and said we are doing the film." Ram Charan was deeply impressed from the very beginning.
Buchi Babu also revealed that he had earlier narrated the story of 'Uppena' to Chiranjeevi, but not 'Peddi.' He stated, "Not even once did Charan sir ask me to narrate the story to Chiru sir. It feels great because even my guru Sukumar sir presented the 'Rangasthalam' narration to Megastar garu, but I didn't."
Chiranjeevi's Later Involvement
Buchi Babu explained that Chiranjeevi only heard fragments of the story after the project was finalized. He said, "After the project was okayed, Chiranjeevi garu asked me to narrate the story in bits and pieces." However, the director preferred that the Megastar experience the film directly on screen. He added, "I decided to show him the film in one go and watch his reaction."
