Ram Charan Recalls Buchi Babu Sana's Narration of 'Peddi'
Ram Charan vividly remembers the day Buchi Babu Sana narrated the story at his home. He revealed that the narration lasted nearly two hours and forty minutes, leaving him speechless. 'I remember in my house, he was going one by one reading, and two hours, 40 minutes, I didn't have anything to say. I just got up and we started this journey,' the actor said. He also acknowledged that the role would be physically demanding from the outset, but he believed the effort was worthwhile due to the compelling story.
'Peddi' Explores Identity Crisis
Discussing the film's theme, Ram Charan explained that 'Peddi' revolves around a man's search for his identity. He emphasized that everyone needs an identity to navigate daily life, and the film portrays the struggles of a man facing an identity crisis. The character becomes a crossover athlete for a greater cause, enduring significant pain throughout his journey. According to the actor, the emotions in the film are deeply intertwined with the narrative. 'This is about a man's search for his identity. Everybody we all need some kind of an identity to live to go through the day. And this is about Peddi, who's finding his identity, or identity crisis, rather. Through that, he has found an identity for a very, very big reason, very big larger cause. And what all he had to go through, the crossover athlete, why he became a crossover athlete. So what led him to do what he is, the pain in Delhi, you saw, it's a beautifully etched film,' he said.
Ram Charan Calls 'Peddi' His Most Inspiring Film
Ram Charan described the film as organic and emotional, yet highly commercial. He believes audiences of all ages will enjoy and connect with the movie. He added that 'Peddi' is the most inspiring story he has ever worked on in his career.
Chiranjeevi's Emotional Reaction to 'Peddi'
The actor revealed that his father and Tollywood legend Chiranjeevi watched parts of the film and became emotional. Ram Charan shared that his father told him films like 'Magadheera' and 'RRR' do not come every year. 'And I also believe this is the most inspiring story I have done in my life. Not just me, my dad saw part of it and he said, Ram, for anybody, to get a film like this, it normally takes a decade. Every year we can't have a 'Magadheera' or 'RRR', it takes a while,' he said. According to Ram Charan, Chiranjeevi advised him to savor every moment of this journey because films like 'Peddi' are rare. The actor concluded by saying this is a film he wants to keep in his personal library forever.
