According to an update shared by box office tracker Jerin Georgekutty on X on the morning of May 12, 'Karuppu' crossed the Rs 1.90 crore mark in Tamil Nadu opening day advance bookings within nearly 36 hours of ticket sales going live. The update also revealed that the film's all-India real-time advance booking gross stood at approximately Rs 2.34 crore as of 7:49 AM on Tuesday.

Just days after taking oath as the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Vijay has made a decision that has created major buzz in the Tamil film industry.
