In a social media update, he stated, 'Due to unavoidable reasons, 9 am shows will be cancelled for 'Karuppu.' Our sincere apologies to everyone!' According to a report from News 18, the issue is linked to a financial settlement involving the production company. As a result of ongoing discussions, theatres reportedly paused advance bookings for the morning screenings. Some theatre owners hinted that the film's release could be delayed if the matter is not resolved swiftly.
RJ Balaji Shares Emotional Message for Fans
Prior to the official cancellation announcement, RJ Balaji posted an emotional message on the night of May 13, urging fans to remain hopeful. He wrote, 'Dearest fans, I don't have a concrete answer to the current situation. Producers are doing their best to solve the hurdles. This film has always had hurdles, and somehow God has made us sail through all that, and here we are after 32 months.' He further added in Tamil, 'கருப்பன் எல்லாத் தடையும் அடிச்சு உடைப்பான். #Karuppu நாளைக்கு காலைல செமயா release ஆகும்..!!! நம்பிக்கை வைங்க, நடக்கும்…!!!' (Karuppan will break every obstacle. 'Karuppu' will be released tomorrow morning grandly. Keep faith, it will happen.) His message quickly went viral among fans online.
