Telugu actor Bharath Kanth, known for his supporting roles in films like 'Sita Ramam' and 'Mahanati', tragically died in a road accident in Hyderabad on Monday. He was 38 years old.
The Accident
The accident occurred late Monday night when Kanth was returning home from a shoot. According to police reports, his car collided with a stationary truck on the Nehru Outer Ring Road. He was rushed to a nearby hospital but succumbed to his injuries. The driver of the truck has been detained for questioning.

Just hours before the accident, Kanth had posted a video on Instagram showing him driving and singing along to a song. The post, captioned 'Life is beautiful, enjoy every moment', has now gone viral, leaving fans and colleagues in shock.
Kanth's sudden demise has sent shockwaves through the Telugu film industry. Many actors and directors have taken to social media to express their condolences. Actor Nani wrote, 'Heartbreaking. Rest in peace, Bharath. You left us too soon.' Director Hanu Raghavapudi said, 'A talented soul lost. My deepest sympathies to his family.'

Bharath Kanth made his acting debut in 2015 with the film 'Kumari 21F'. He gained recognition for his role in the critically acclaimed 'Mahanati' (2018), where he played a journalist. He also appeared in 'Sita Ramam' (2022) as a supporting character. Besides acting, he worked as a dubbing artist and voice-over actor.
Kanth is survived by his parents and a younger brother. His last rites are expected to be performed on Wednesday in his hometown of Vijayawada.
The Telugu film fraternity has called for better road safety measures. Many have urged the government to take action against negligent driving and improve infrastructure on the Outer Ring Road.
