'Tip Toe' Thriller Series Premieres May 31 on Channel 4

The latest thriller series to join television this year is 'Tip Toe', led by veteran actors Alan Cumming and David Morrissey. The show has generated significant buzz for its unique blend of queer themes and thriller elements. The official release date has now been confirmed, and anticipation among fans is high.

'Tip Toe' Release Date Confirmed

The upcoming five-part series has quickly become one of the most talked-about releases of the year, thanks to its compelling themes and star-studded cast. According to Channel 4, the series is set to premiere at the end of this month. The official release date has been set for May 31.

What Is the Premise of 'Tip Toe'?

The thriller series follows the characters played by Cumming and Morrissey, who are long-time neighbours living on Manchester’s Canal Street. Cumming portrays Leo, the eccentric owner of a Canal Street bar called Spit and Polish, while Morrissey plays Clive, his next-door neighbour. Although they have lived as neighbours for over 15 years, mounting problems, differences in opinion, and other issues have become too much for them to handle. What begins as a simple feud escalates into something much darker and more violent.

Russell T. Davies Talks About His Latest Thriller Series 'Tip Toe'

Speaking to BBC Today, Davies, who has also worked on 'It's A Sin' and 'Doctor Who', revealed that the show is presented through a 'queer lens'. However, he emphasized that the storyline and the issues he aims to highlight are not exclusive to the 'queer experience'. He gave an example of a friend who uses a wheelchair being called a liar in public, stating, 'That actually is physically happening in the world.'

He further shared, 'Being online is a brand new form of communication that we did not evolve to suit. We’re taking it so lightly and so much enjoying its benefits at the same time as we are actually sliding into hell.' He revealed that the show is far more 'radical' in its approach to addressing issues and that the channel was pleased with his direction.

Where to Watch 'Tip Toe'?

The show will air on Channel 4’s television channel starting from May 31. Additionally, it will be available on the channel’s streaming platform online.
