Baywatch Reboot Announced with Fresh Cast and Returning Favorites
The legendary American sitcom Baywatch, which first captivated audiences in 1989, is making a highly anticipated comeback. Known for its sun-soaked beaches and dramatic rescues, the show has seen numerous iterations over the years, including a star-studded film featuring Dwayne Johnson, Zac Efron, and Priyanka Chopra. Meet the New Baywatch Cast Members
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the upcoming reboot will be spearheaded by Stephen Amell, who was the first official cast member announced. Amell, renowned for his role in Arrow, will lead the surf-centric drama. Joining him are Shay Mitchell, famous for her performances in Pretty Little Liars and You, and Jessica Belkin. Mitchell will portray a former lawyer who abandons her lucrative career to become a full-time lifeguard, while Belkin will play the daughter of Amell's character, Hobie Buchannon, aspiring to join the Baywatch team.
The cast expands with Livvy Dunne and Noah Beck, both taking on recurring roles as junior lifeguards. Beck's character hails from a family of firefighters but dreams of excelling as a lifeguard instead. Brooks Nader will appear as a Zuma Beach lifeguard connected to Amell's character. Additional newcomers include:
- Luke Eisner from Tall Girl as a rookie lifeguard.
- Hassie Harrison from Dangerous Animals as a former foster child turned Olympic prodigy and dedicated lifeguard.
