Yellowstone Spinoff Dutton Ranch Lands Official Release Date and Teaser Details
Paramount has officially announced the release date for Dutton Ranch, the highly anticipated spinoff of the hit series Yellowstone. The new show will debut on May 15, 2026, with its first two episodes launching simultaneously on Paramount Plus and Paramount Network at 8 p.m. ET/PT. Following the premiere, the series will roll out one episode each week, with the first season consisting of nine episodes that continue the story of Beth and Rip after the conclusion of Yellowstone.
Teaser and Plot Details Reveal a Violent New Chapter
As reported by Variety, Paramount released a first teaser and initial images for Dutton Ranch alongside the announcement. The footage hints at a turbulent and violent path ahead for Beth and Rip, who attempted to escape the chaos of Montana. According to the official logline, "As Beth and Rip fight to build a future together—far from the ghosts of Yellowstone—they collide with brutal new realities and a ruthless rival ranch that will stop at nothing to protect its empire." The logline adds, "In South Texas, blood runs deeper, forgiveness is fleeting, and the cost of survival might just be your soul."
This setting marks a significant shift for the franchise. While Yellowstone ended with Beth and Rip purchasing a ranch in Dillon, Montana, Dutton Ranch moves the action to South Texas. Here, the couple faces fresh threats and a renewed struggle for survival, as depicted in the teaser, which quickly immerses them in a world of violence, land disputes, and difficult decisions.
Cast and Creative Team Behind Dutton Ranch
The spinoff brings back key actors from Yellowstone, with Kelly Reilly and Cole Hauser reprising their lead roles as Beth and Rip, respectively. Finn Little also returns to the cast. The first season's ensemble includes:
- Juan Pablo Raba
- Jai Courtney
- J.R. Villarreal
- Marc Menchaca
- Natalie Alyn Lind
- Ed Harris
- Annette Bening
Behind the scenes, Dutton Ranch is based on characters created by Taylor Sheridan and John Linson. Chad Feehan serves as the creator, executive producer, and showrunner. Christina Alexandra Voros directed multiple episodes, including the premiere and finale. Notably, this series is the second Yellowstone spinoff scheduled for 2026, following Marshalls, which features Luke Grimes returning as Kayce Dutton on CBS.
