He confessed to binge-reading all the provided material in one sitting, completely captivated by the storyline.
"Playing a customs officer introduces me to a very new world," Hashmi stated. "This experience feels fresh not just for me, but for all actors involved. When your creative palette is new, that becomes a huge bonus. You get to take audiences into an entirely new world and give them a novel experience."
The series meticulously reveals how traffickers operate through coded pathways, forged documentation, and clever misdirection. Meanwhile, the customs unit relies on sharp instincts and detailed intelligence to stay one step ahead of the criminals.

Hashmi credited director Neeraj Pandey for bringing a unique perspective to the thriller genre. "Neeraj Pandey has given this thriller format a completely unique spin with different twists and turns," the actor explained. "Just when you expect something to happen, something entirely different comes from left field and catches you completely unaware."
After Pandey's initial narration, Hashmi received four or five additional episodes to read. The actor binge-read these as well and found himself completely convinced about the project. "I was completely sold after reading those episodes," Hashmi recalled. "I knew immediately that this was something I wanted to grab with both hands."
