'Spa' will start streaming on ManoramaMAX from May 28, 2026. The announcement was made through the platform's official social media handles.
Plot and Setting
The story of 'Spa' unfolds in and around La Paradise, an urban massage therapy centre where the lives of several characters intersect. The narrative primarily follows Mathan, a man trying to understand the difference between real love and the romantic ideals he has built in his mind.
Shruthy Menon on Playing Zara
Actress Shruthy Menon, who plays the role of Zara, shared her approach during a conversation with TOI City. She explained that she focused on understanding the character rather than viewing the role from a personal perspective. 'When I got Zara, the challenge for me was to think of her as a character,' she said.
According to Shruthy, treating Zara purely as a character helped her perform with greater clarity and confidence. She also spoke about the positive working environment on set. She recalled that the atmosphere remained cheerful and supportive throughout the shoot.
The actress noted that fellow performers, including Radhika Radhakrishnan and Sreeja Das, shared similar scenes, which fostered a sense of comfort and camaraderie among the cast. 'We got along like a house on fire. On set, the technicians were laughing, so it was like getting immediate response from an audience. Radhika and I kept it at a comedic level,' she said.

The film features Siddarth Bharthan, Shruthy Menon, Vineeth Thattil David, and several other actors in key roles. The music has been composed by Ishaan Chhabra. Apart from directing, Abrid Shine also wrote the story and screenplay. The filmmaker, known for delivering distinctive narratives, once again explores a different setting and subject matter through 'Spa'. Abrid Shine's previous film was 'Mahaveeryar'.
