Millie Bobby Brown Opens Up About Enola Holmes 3 and Her Character's Growth
Millie Bobby Brown on Enola Holmes 3: Character's Evolution

Millie Bobby Brown, widely recognized for her iconic portrayal of Eleven in 'Stranger Things', has once again stepped into the shoes of the brilliant young detective Enola Holmes in the third installment of the popular mystery franchise, 'Enola Holmes 3'. Based on Nancy Springer's beloved novel series, this latest chapter sees Brown reprising her role with a sense of maturity and confidence that reflects her character's journey.

Millie Bobby Brown on Enola's Growth

In a recent interview with People, Brown shared insights into how Enola has evolved since the first film. "I think what's really exciting about this one is how much Enola has grown. She's still got that same fire and curiosity, but she's a bit more confident in who she is and what she stands for. The stakes feel bigger, not just in terms of the mystery, but emotionally too," Brown explained. The actress emphasized that this installment feels particularly significant, as audiences will witness a more assured and self-aware Enola navigating increasingly complex challenges.

Brown also reflected on her deep personal connection to the character. In a 2020 interview with Deadline, she remarked, "I will say anyone who watches the film that knows me, so my friends and family, they say, 'Oh my gosh, she's so much like you. Sometimes I'm looking at her, and I feel like I'm watching you talking.' So first of all, that is one of the things that I loved about Enola. When I was reading the script, it felt like I was reading myself. She's got a very witty sense of humour, very British. And I've definitely got her sense of humour."

Romantic Developments with Tewkesbury

Brown teased further exploration of Enola's relationship with Tewkesbury, played by Louis Partridge. "Fans of Enola and Tewkesbury, there's definitely more to explore there. Their relationship feels more mature, a bit deeper, and real. I think audiences are really going to feel like they've grown up with Enola, which is such a special thing," she said. Partridge added intriguing details, noting that the film involves a wedding, which brings its own set of dramas. "People may or may not know that this film involves a wedding. With any wedding, there's drama around every corner, and this one is no exception. Enola and Tewkesbury go through a bit of a rough patch. The stakes are higher than we've seen before but our characters are older and wiser than before too, and they care about each other a lot," he revealed.

Brown's Long-Standing Belief in the Franchise

Brown has consistently expressed her desire to continue the 'Enola Holmes' story. In that same 2020 interview, she stated, "Yeah, there's more of the story to be told. The story isn't over yet. She isn't grown up, there's no conclusion. I think she'll forever be someone who is always evolving, but there's definitely more to be shown on screen. Henry Cavill and I loved working together, so this has to happen." Her enthusiasm has clearly carried through to the third film, as she describes Enola as a character who is "always evolving" and continues to resonate with audiences across all installments.

With 'Enola Holmes 3', fans can expect a thrilling mystery combined with emotional depth, character growth, and the charming dynamics that have made the franchise a favorite.
