Renowned actor Shefali Shah has shared an emotional message with her fans following the successful release of Delhi Crime Season 3, expressing both her initial fears and overwhelming gratitude for the audience's positive response to her character's evolution.

Through a heartfelt Instagram post on November 22, Shah opened up about her experience reprising the role of DIG Vartika Chaturvedi in the acclaimed Netflix series. The actor confessed she was "terrified" about how viewers would receive the new dimension she brought to her character this season.
"When I saw the show myself, I didn't know if you would be able to see my version of Vartika and love her as much as the last time," Shah revealed in her social media note. She emphasized that rather than performing, she focused on "becoming her" and authentically portraying how the character genuinely felt.
Vartika's Transformed Approach
Shah elaborated on the significant evolution her character undergoes in the third season, explaining that Vartika Chaturvedi displays a different side this time. "I played a different side of Vartika this time. She felt the pain and anger with equal and more intensity, but instead of showing it, she channelled it into finding the girls," the actor wrote.
She detailed how different situations demand varying leadership qualities, noting that "certain situations need to be handled with power, certain with strength, certain with command, certain with force, and certain, like this one, with compassion and empathy." This season marks a departure from previous portrayals, with Shah emphasizing that "this time there was no bravado, it was just perseverance and a relentless pursuit to find the girls."
