A tragic road accident in Khargone district has left more than twenty people injured after a pickup vehicle overturned on Saturday. The incident occurred near Khapar Jamli village, which falls under the jurisdiction of the Bhagwanpura police station area.

According to SDOP Rakesh Arya, who spoke to TOI, approximately thirty people were traveling in the pickup vehicle when it lost control and overturned. This resulted in injuries to twenty-two individuals. The passengers were all members of a tribal community and were relatives journeying together to perform the traditional 'deja' ritual following a wedding ceremony.

Immediate Response and Medical Assistance

Local residents quickly rushed to the scene to provide assistance and help in shifting the injured. With the aid of 108 ambulance services, eighteen of the injured, including women and children, were promptly transported to the district hospital for urgent medical care.

Dr. Dilip Septa, the in-charge civil surgeon at the district hospital, provided an update on the condition of the victims. "One injured person is in critical condition, while the remaining are out of danger," he stated, offering a glimmer of hope amidst the distressing event.
