NHS Hospital Jalandhar Marks World Multiple Sclerosis Day

NHS Hospital, Jalandhar, organized a special awareness program on the occasion of World Multiple Sclerosis Day. The event aimed to spread accurate information about Multiple Sclerosis (MS) to the public. It took place on May 30 at 3 pm in the hospital auditorium. An interactive panel discussion was led by renowned neurologists Dr. Sandeep Goel and Dr. Partha Ranjan Saha.

Addressing Public Queries

The program was planned after receiving numerous questions and queries related to Multiple Sclerosis from people through various online platforms over the past several days. Keeping public interest and awareness in mind, both specialists discussed the causes, symptoms, diagnosis, treatment options, and lifestyle management related to MS in a simple and informative manner.

Launch of Dedicated MS Clinic

During the event, the neurologists officially launched the dedicated MS Clinic at NHS Hospital. It was announced that the clinic will function on every second and fourth Tuesday from 3 pm to 5 pm. Patients suffering from neurological disorders related to Multiple Sclerosis can receive specialized consultation and guidance at this clinic.

Live Instagram Session and Brochure Distribution

The event was conducted live on Instagram to reach a larger audience and spread awareness among the general public. As part of the awareness initiative, informative brochures about Multiple Sclerosis were also distributed among patients and visitors already present in the hospital premises. The program concluded with refreshments served to all staff members and participants.
