However, several television celebrities who received a cancer diagnosis not only beat the disease but also continued their work like a boss. From Hina Khan to Kirron Kher, here are some TV stars who persevered through their battle with cancer.

Hina Khan

Known for her roles in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, Kasautii Zindagii Kay, Bigg Boss, and many others, Hina Khan is a prominent figure in the industry who fought cancer. The actress revealed that she had stage 3 breast cancer in 2024 and since then actively shared updates about her everyday life. From undergoing treatment to losing her hair due to side effects, Khan remained candid about everything and persevered. Despite the challenges, she continues to work and has regularly attended and performed at events.

Dipika Kakar

TV star Dipika Kakar shared that she was diagnosed with stage 2 liver cancer last year. She also mentioned that tests revealed an 11 cm malignant tumor. The actress kept everyone updated online about her health, and in June last year, she underwent a 14-hour surgery to remove the tumor, as well as parts of her liver and gallbladder. After another surgery for a cyst, Kakar, with her partner Shoaib Ibrahim by her side, has been continuing oral treatment and has managed to balance her work responsibilities as well.

Sonali Bendre

Bendre is a prominent actress who has worked in both television and cinema. She was diagnosed with high-grade metastatic cancer. The actress remained positive throughout the process and went to New York to receive the necessary treatment. Along with this, she handled her work opportunities like a boss and balanced everything. As of now, Bendre is cancer-free and regularly appears on TV shows as a judge.

Vibhu Raghave

In February 2022, Raghave, best known for his role in Nisha Aur Uske Cousins, shared that he had been diagnosed with stage 4 neuroendocrine colon cancer. Throughout his cancer journey, the actor remained positive and actively kept his fans updated about his health and recovery. He bravely fought cancer for three years after his diagnosis but passed away due to complications related to the disease on June 2, 2025. He was 37 years old at the time.

Kirron Kher

A revered name in both television and cinema, Kher has also fought her own battle with cancer. In 2021, it was reported that the actress had been diagnosed with multiple myeloma, a type of blood cancer. She continued to work even while battling the disease and receiving treatment, which had extensive side effects. Through it all, Kher managed to come out stronger. While the disease is lifelong, the actress continues to fight it while balancing her professional and personal life.

Chhavi Mittal

Mittal shared her cancer diagnosis in 2022. She revealed that she had been diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer after an MRI due to a gym injury. In a social media post about her diagnosis, the actress wrote, "It's a pull-up injury which technically saved my life. Before the reports came, I was scared. I didn't want cancer... but once you get it, you have to deal with it." That same year, she underwent a lumpectomy and reconstruction surgery, which was successful, and she was declared cancer-free. Even through all this, she remained active on social media and kept up with her work commitments.
