CM Yadav's Damage Control Measures
Moving swiftly to contain the escalating crisis, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav initiated immediate administrative action. He issued show-cause notices to Indore's Municipal Commissioner and Additional Commissioner. Furthermore, he ordered the immediate removal of the Additional Commissioner from Indore and withdrew the charge of the Water Distribution Department from the Superintending Engineer in charge.
In a significant step, Yadav convened a virtual meeting on Friday evening with the Mayors, Chairpersons, and Commissioners of all 16 Municipal Corporations in Madhya Pradesh. District Collectors and senior officials from Health, Urban Development, and Public Health Engineering departments also attended. The meeting aimed to review water supply systems statewide and implement corrective measures.
