Venkataramanan, a 34-year-old mechanic from Balaji Nagar in South Bengaluru, began experiencing severe chest pain. With no immediate assistance available, his wife made the desperate decision to take him on their motorcycle to find a hospital. Their first stop at a private hospital ended in refusal, as they were told no doctor was available to attend to him.
Undeterred, the couple rushed to a second medical facility. Here, an ECG was conducted, which indicated that Venkataramanan had suffered a mild heart attack. Shockingly, despite this critical diagnosis, the hospital staff reportedly neither initiated emergency treatment nor arranged for an ambulance to transfer him to a better-equipped centre.

Forced to continue their perilous journey on the two-wheeler, fate dealt another cruel blow. The couple was involved in a road accident. Disturbing CCTV footage from the scene captures the heart-wrenching moments that followed. Venkataramanan's wife is seen pleading with passing vehicles, her hands folded in desperation, as her husband lay injured on the road.

Venkataramanan was declared dead on arrival.
