The families of a 48-year-old and a 70-year-old donor made the compassionate decision to donate kidneys, liver, cornea, and skin. These donations were facilitated at Hira Mongi Hospital in Mulund and Fortis Hospital in Navi Mumbai, showcasing the pivotal role of private healthcare institutions in the organ transplant ecosystem.
In a separate case, a 52-year-old donor contributed kidneys at SL Raheja Hospital in Mahim. A family member of this donor shared their experience, stating, "We aimed to donate any two organs. While there were no significant obstacles, the process can be time-consuming. Families must complete consent forms repeatedly, but learning that our donation helped two patients in need made it all worthwhile. That was our primary intention."
