Ayush Habba 2026: Stress Management Sessions Attract All Ages

Ayush Habba 2026 in Mangaluru Features Manah Shanthi for Stress Relief

The Ayush Habba 2026 event at the TMA Pai International Convention Centre in Mangaluru has become a hub for wellness enthusiasts, with the Manah Shanthi stress management programme emerging as a major attraction. Sessions designed to promote mental calmness and holistic health have drawn participants from all age groups, highlighting the growing public interest in traditional and modern wellness practices.

Expert-Led Meditation Sessions Offer Tranquility

On the opening day, crowds flocked to the Manah Shanthi sessions, conducted by expert doctors who guided attendees through techniques aimed at achieving inner peace. Dr Sangeethalaxmi M J, the coordinator of Manah Shanthi, explained that the camp provides free access to two key meditation methods: Alpha Meditation -- The Silva Method and Vagus Nerve Meditation.

According to Dr Sangeethalaxmi, Alpha Meditation induces a state of deep relaxation where individuals experience profound tranquillity while remaining fully conscious. "This technique serves as an excellent platform to train the mind to align with one's intentions, fostering mental clarity and focus," she noted.

Regarding Vagus Nerve Meditation, she elaborated that the vagus nerve connects the brain to various organs, regulating essential bodily functions. "Through specific breathing and mindfulness exercises, this meditation stimulates the vagus nerve, signaling the body to shift from the 'fight-or-flight' sympathetic mode to the 'rest-and-digest' parasympathetic mode," Dr Sangeethalaxmi said. Both techniques, each lasting just 10 minutes, are reported to aid in achieving sound sleep and reducing tension, stress, anxiety, and depression.

Children's Activities and Health Camps Add to Festival Vibrancy

Meanwhile, the Ayush Habba also featured Makkala Habba, a dedicated segment for children, where young participants engaged enthusiastically in fun games and memory-boosting activities. Free haemoglobin level tests were conducted for children, ensuring a focus on preventive health care from an early age.

The festival grounds buzzed with activity as several Ayush product manufacturers and hospitals set up stalls, showcasing a range of wellness products and services. A special camp offered Nadi Pariksha, an advanced pulse diagnosis using the Nadi Tarangini device, providing attendees with personalized health insights based on traditional Ayurvedic principles.

Emphasis on Technology and Innovation in Ayush Systems

Adding to the intellectual discourse, Padma Shri awardee H R Nagendra, a renowned yoga therapist and founder of Swami Vivekananda Yoga Anusandhana Samsthana (S-VYASA), delivered an insightful talk at the festival. He stressed the importance of integrating technology and artificial intelligence into the Ayush system, highlighting how modern innovations can enhance traditional practices for broader accessibility and effectiveness.

The Ayush Habba 2026 in Mangaluru thus stands as a comprehensive wellness fair, blending ancient wisdom with contemporary approaches to cater to diverse health needs across generations.
