The Drishyam actor clarified that she lost over 15 kilograms in less than two months after childbirth, but it was far from a magical transformation.

The Painful Reality Behind the Weight Loss

Ishita Dutta, 35, explained that her weight loss was not due to dieting or exercise but stemmed from severe health issues during pregnancy. "I lost more than 15 kgs in less than 2 months. Hate to break it to you guys! There is no secret," she stated in Instagram video posts. Her first two trimesters were smooth, filled with travel, work, and enjoyment, but things took a drastic turn by the sixth month.

She was put on complete bed rest and began experiencing unbearable abdominal pain, leading to multiple hospital visits. Scans eventually revealed she had gall bladder stones. Since she was pregnant, surgery was not an immediate option. "I was still in my seventh month. The only option was to go through the pain. I cannot even tell you how painful that is," she recounted, describing episodes of screaming in pain without access to strong painkillers due to her pregnancy.

Post-Delivery Struggles and Surgery

After delivering her baby girl in the eighth month, the challenges persisted. Breastfeeding prevented her from taking painkillers, and she was advised to wait at least 40 days before attempting gall bladder surgery. "I just delivered, I was breastfeeding. I couldn't take any painkillers," she added. Following numerous pain attacks, she underwent surgery to remove her gall bladder when it was safe.

Even post-surgery, her body had to adjust to the absence of a gall bladder, and she remained on dietary restrictions for an extended period. "This is how I lost so much weight. There is no secret, there is no magic. There is no shortcut," emphasized Ishita, who is married to actor Vatsal Sheth.
