Margot Robbie's Beauty Secrets: Minimalism and Natural Glow

Margot Robbie, our very own "Barbie," is the kind of star whose presence makes Hollywood feel a little more effortless. From lighting up the screen in Barbie and The Wolf of Wall Street to stepping onto the red carpet with her signature understated glow, the star never forgets to carry a mix of glamour and ease that feels very human. Recently, her film Wuthering Heights made headlines with various debates, discussions on toxic love, daring costumes, and the discourse. But what does the actress follow for her beauty regime? The Aussie beauty's flawless complexion is something that fans have long admired for its natural glow and understated elegance.

Minimalism

Margot's makeup regime centers around minimalism. As reported by Women's Health, in true Australian fashion, she keeps it laidback when it comes to her real-life makeup preferences, even at big events like premieres and award shows. "I always end up wearing more monochromatic, natural looks," Robbie has said. When Vogue UK asked Robbie what beauty advice she'd give her 16-year-old self, her answer was to wear less makeup, especially because she favors an 'au naturel' look these days. "I remember hitting that age and thinking I needed to wear tons of makeup because I was old enough to wear it," Robbie said. "I think it's a confidence thing, you have your mask on all the time. As I've gotten older, I've gotten more confident to wear less. Now I'll happily just go for dinner wearing tinted moisturizer."

Take Off Your Makeup Before Going to Bed

Margot Robbie is very against going to bed with your makeup on; that's the bare minimum in skincare! Multitasking is her game, which is quite visible when it comes to washing her face. "I always start by cleansing in the shower, I don't do too many steps because I genuinely don't have that much time, but I'm anal-retentive about having really clean skin," Robbie told Vogue UK. "Especially with my job, where they just layer makeup on and on and on."

Always Up for Non-Surgical Beauty Treatments

While speaking about her love for trying new skincare treatments, Margot mentioned that she is never afraid to try them. She shared her experience of traveling with her best friend Soph where they tried something that was absolutely local. She said, "The funniest thing was last year backpacking in the Philippines, my best friend, Soph, and I were getting these treatments where we were in this hut being absolutely slathered in clay, and we got wrapped up in banana leaves and essentially left there for three hours," Robbie told Byrdie. "And after a while, the whole situation was so ridiculous that we looked like Tutankhamun mixed with a fruit bowl, like it was just the most absurd thing, and we had an absolute laughing fit." You know what they say? Laughing is the best medicine, and the quickest way to a gorgeous, natural flush.

Her Love for Face Masks

Skin prep is extremely essential for our Harley Quinn. So every time she prepares herself for a film or for any big event, she takes time to prepare her skin with her makeup artist, Pati Dubroff. She applies under-eye patches for depuffing her orbital area before getting her "face" on for the day.
