In a remarkable display of communal harmony, a 100-foot 'Mahaveeri' flag has been installed at Khutra panchayat in the Katkamsandi block of Hazaribag district, drawing widespread attention not only for its impressive size but also for the fact that it was crafted by a tailor from a minority community. Suleiman Miyan, a tailor who has been stitching flags for Ram Navami celebrations over the past three decades, dedicated an entire year to creating this monumental flag. Using approximately 451 meters of cloth, he meticulously prepared the flag, which has been met with appreciation from all quarters. Suleiman, a resident of Rauliganj on Barkagaon Road, emphasized that his creation stands as a powerful symbol of brotherhood, transcending religious and communal divides.

The installation of the flag was attended by Sadar MLA Pradip Prasad, who highlighted its historical significance. "This is the tallest 'Mahaveeri' flag erected by any Ram Navami organizing committee in the district," he stated. "Hazaribag's Ram Navami is globally recognized, and such initiatives further enhance its legacy, promoting peace and tradition." The event was organized by the Bajrang Samiti Akhara, with its president, Ajay Saw, noting that the aim was to restore traditions with participation from all communities, fostering inclusivity.

Khutra mukhiya Anwar Ul Haque shed light on the historical context, revealing that similar traditions existed a century ago during both Ram Navami and Muharram but had faded over time.
