The four-day literary extravaganza is scheduled to run from January 1 to January 4 at the Shahu Stadium, marking the event's return to the city after a gap of 32 years.

The conference will see a grand opening on January 2, to be inaugurated by renowned Indian writer and Sahitya Akademi Award winner, Mridula Garg. The ceremony will be graced by the presence of Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Industries Minister Uday Samant. Prior to this, a book festival will be launched on Thursday, December 28, by senior authors Dr. Tara Bhawalkar and Vishwas Patil, with Public Works Department Minister Shivendra Raje Bhosale in attendance. Minister Bhosale will also chair the entire event as the host.

Administrative and Logistical Preparations

District Collector Santosh Patil has confirmed that all administrative systems are fully prepared to ensure a smooth experience for attendees. A major focus has been on managing the influx of vehicles, with comprehensive parking plans in place to prevent congestion. "The district administration is all set to welcome all literaturists, and preparations will be completed by Wednesday late night. The city was kept clean and beautification works were completed promptly," stated Patil. The local police department has also implemented special traffic measures to avoid jams in the city.

A Confluence of Literature and Culture

Organised by the Maharashtra Sahitya Parishad, Pune (Branch-Shahupuri), and the Mawla Foundation, Satara, the Sammelan promises to be a vibrant gathering. It aims to unite literature, authors, and book lovers from across Maharashtra for four days of intellectual and cultural exchange. Attendees can look forward to a variety of programs alongside the main literary sessions. The concluding ceremony on January 4 will see the participation of Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, bringing the landmark event to a close.
