During an on-site review on Tuesday, K Makarand Pandurang, Haryana's director general of information and public relations, issued strict directives to executing agencies to ensure the project meets international quality standards. Located on the Ambala-Delhi national highway, the memorial is designed to serve as a landmark cultural hub and an inspiration for the younger generation.
Key focus areas for the final phase include:
- Infrastructure Integrity: Third-party inspections of all electrical and sewerage systems to ensure compliance.
- Monsoon Readiness: Precise ground levelling and manhole alignment to prevent waterlogging during the upcoming rainy season.
- Highway Coordination: Coordination with the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) to manage cleanliness and landscaping near the main entrance.
