Belagavi to Host Historic KS Narasimhaswamy Song Training Event

In a significant cultural initiative, the Mysuru Mallige Kavi KS Narasimhaswamy Trust is set to organize a first-of-its-kind group singing training program dedicated to the songs of the revered poet KS Narasimhaswamy. The event will take place in Belagavi on March 10 and 11, marking a pioneering effort to promote and preserve this rich musical heritage.

Training and Performance Details

Kikkeri Krishnamurthy, the president of the trust, announced the details to the media on Monday. He emphasized that the training sessions are completely free of charge, encouraging all interested individuals to participate and benefit from this unique opportunity. The trained artists will showcase their skills in a special performance scheduled for March 11 at 4 pm at the prestigious Sawai Gandharva Hall.

Adding to the cultural extravaganza, renowned artists will perform dances set to the songs of KS Narasimhaswamy, creating a vibrant fusion of music and movement. The event will also feature an insightful lecture delivered by senior journalist Sarjoo Katkar, providing deeper context and appreciation for the poet's work.

The closing ceremony on March 11 will see the participation of several distinguished officials and dignitaries, underscoring the event's importance. Key attendees include:
