Members of the Bengali community in Lucknow joyously celebrated Poila Boishak, the Bengali New Year, on Wednesday, embracing the occasion with a vibrant display of color, music, and age-old traditions. The festivities centered around the Bengali Club, which attracted visitors from the early hours of the morning, creating a lively atmosphere filled with cultural pride and communal harmony.
Traditional Attire and Rituals Set the Tone
Dressed in elegant traditional attire, women adorned themselves in striking red-and-white sarees, while men wore crisp kurtas, adding to the visual spectacle of the day. The temple served prasad comprising aloo bhaja, dum aloo, matar paneer, pulao, papad, and rasgulla, offering a spiritual and culinary treat to visitors.
