Guru Tegh Bahadur's Message Lights Up Mohali in 350th Tribute

Mohali Witnesses Spectacular Tribute to Sikh Guru

The city of Mohali became the canvas for a breathtaking spiritual experience on Tuesday evening as the Department of Tourism and Cultural Affairs, Government of Punjab, presented 'Hind Di Chadar' - a magnificent light and sound show marking the 350th martyrdom anniversary of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji. The digital spectacle transformed the evening into a profound journey through the ninth Sikh Guru's life and teachings.

Divine Visuals and Spiritual Narratives

Inspired by the immortal verse "Tilak Janju Rakha Prabh Ta Ka, Keeno Bado Kalu Mehak Saka", the presentation unfolded through a mesmerizing fusion of lights, music, and devotion. The narrative powerfully illustrated Guru Tegh Bahadur's extraordinary courage and divine grace, capturing the audience's hearts and evoking deep reverence.

The show vividly portrayed the Guru's unwavering commitment to truth, justice, and religious freedom. It also honored the supreme sacrifice of his devoted disciples - Bhai Mati Das Ji, Bhai Sati Das Ji, and Bhai Dayala Ji - who attained martyrdom alongside their Guru at Chandni Chowk in Delhi exactly 350 years ago.

Spiritual Journey Through Light and Sound

The presentation masterfully encapsulated Guru Sahib's complete spiritual journey - from his early enlightenment to his ultimate sacrifice that paved the way for the formation of the Khalsa Panth by Sri Guru Gobind Singh. The eternal messages of courage, faith, and righteousness resonated throughout the performance.

Adding to the spiritual atmosphere, a Kavishri Jatha led by Bhai Rajbir Singh recited Vaaran depicting Guru Sahib's martyrdom. The audience responded with heartfelt chants of "Dhan Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji", creating an immersive experience of devotion and remembrance.

Statewide Celebrations and Future Events

Under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, the Punjab government is observing the 350th anniversary with unprecedented devotion and grandeur across the state. The Mohali event represents just one part of extensive commemorative activities.

A series of state-level programs will culminate at Sri Anandpur Sahib from November 23 to 25, featuring a special session of the Punjab Vidhan Sabha on November 24. Grand Nagar Kirtans, beginning from Takht Sri Damdama Sahib in Talwandi Sabo, will reach Mohali on November 21 before proceeding to Sri Anandpur Sahib.

These processions will receive ceremonial guards of honor in each district, serving as a fitting tribute to the unparalleled legacy of Hind Di Chadar. The evening concluded with powerful chants of "Bole So Nihal… Sat Sri Akal", celebrating the eternal spirit of Guru Tegh Bahadur as the eternal protector of faith, truth, and humanity.

Among the distinguished attendees were AAP Punjab incharge Manish Sisodia, MLAs Kulwant Singh (Mohali) and Kuljit Singh Randhawa (Derabassi), Deputy Commissioner Komal Mittal, along with several senior officers who joined the community in this historic commemoration.
