Kerala Sangeetha Nataka Akademi Hosts State Drama Competition in Thrissur
The Kerala Sangeetha Nataka Akademi is set to organize a prestigious state-level professional drama competition at the K T Mohammed Theatre in Thrissur. This cultural extravaganza will unfold over five days, from April 19 to April 23, showcasing a diverse lineup of theatrical performances.
Inauguration and Schedule Details
The event will be inaugurated by Mattannur Sankarankutty, the chairperson of the akademi, at 9:30 AM on April 19. John Fernandes, an executive committee member, will preside over the ceremony. A total of 10 plays are scheduled across the five days, with two performances each day—one in the morning and one in the evening.

- 10:30 AM: 'Angadikuruvikal' by People's Theatres
- 6:00 PM: 'Pakalil Maranjirunnoralu' by Valluvanad Brahma
Day 2 (April 20):
- 10:30 AM: 'Vamsham' by Ajanta Theatre Group
- 6:00 PM: 'Ottamuriyile Pennu' by Ayanam Nataka Vedi
Day 3 (April 21):
- 10:30 AM: 'Sukumari' by Thiruvananthapuram Navodaya
- 6:00 PM: 'Janmam' by Chaithrathara Theatres
Day 4 (April 22):
- 10:30 AM: 'Thazhvaram' by Souparnika Thiruvananthapuram
- 6:00 PM: 'Siren' by Sadgamaya Thrissur
Day 5 (April 23):
- 10:30 AM: 'Kaalam Parakkunnu' by Kozhikode Sankeerthana
