Lucknow Observes 405th Birth Anniversary of Guru Tegh Bahadur with Spiritual Fervour

Large congregations of devotees assembled at two prominent gurdwaras, Mansarovar and Yahiyaganj, to honour the ninth Sikh Guru's legacy and teachings.

Celebrations at Gurdwara Mansarovar

At Gurdwara Mansarovar, the festivities were marked by soul-stirring shabad kirtans and enlightening discourses that delved into the life and supreme sacrifices of Guru Tegh Bahadur. Head priest Harvinder Singh addressed the gathering, emphasizing the Guru's timeless message of honesty, unity, and dignity. He passionately urged devotees to integrate these core values into their daily lives, highlighting their relevance in contemporary society.

Procession from Naka Gurdwara to Yahiyaganj

A significant highlight of the day was a reverent procession that commenced from Naka Gurdwara. This procession, led by the Panj Pyare adorned in traditional attire, wound its way through the historic neighbourhoods of Pandeyganj and Rakabganj before culminating at Gurdwara Yahiyaganj. The Guru Granth Sahib, beautifully decorated with flowers, was carried with utmost reverence throughout the route.
