With thousands of devotees expected to participate in the ancient sun worship ritual, authorities have designated 118 ghats along the Ganges River for the four-day festival.

Administrative Coordination for Smooth Celebrations
The district administration is working in close coordination with multiple departments including police, disaster management, health services, and municipal corporations. Temporary control rooms will be established to monitor the celebrations and respond promptly to any emergencies.
"Our primary focus is ensuring that devotees can perform their rituals safely and without inconvenience. We have deployed additional resources and personnel to manage the large gatherings expected at the river banks," stated a district administration official.
The Chhath Puja, dedicated to the Sun God, holds immense cultural significance in Bihar and is celebrated with great fervor. The administration's proactive measures aim to preserve the spiritual essence of the festival while addressing contemporary urban challenges of crowd management and public safety.
