The auspicious occasion of Ram Navami on Thursday witnessed a profound spiritual revival at the Shri Ram Mandir in Kharar, as the Pran Pratishtha Mahotsav, or the consecration of the deity's idol, was completed with deep reverence, unwavering devotion, and traditional Vedic rituals. This significant event marked a momentous day for devotees, infusing the temple complex with renewed energy and divine presence.
Thousands Gather for Darshan Amidst Chants of Jai Shri Ram
From the early morning hours, the temple complex began to fill with thousands of devotees, creating an atmosphere of piety and communal harmony. By 12:30 PM, a massive crowd had assembled for darshan, with the walkways resonating with the powerful chants of Jai Shri Ram. The air was thick with spiritual fervor as Vedic mantras echoed through the premises, guiding the completion of all essential rituals including worship, havan, ang nyasa, and the pivotal pran pratishtha, all performed with full ceremonial rites.
Grand Finale with Festival of Lights and Fireworks
The event culminated in a breathtaking purnahuti, or full offering, attended by thousands of devotees who had gathered to witness this sacred culmination. As evening descended, the temple grounds transformed into a mesmerizing spectacle with a grand festival of lights. A staggering 51,000 earthen lamps were lit, casting a golden glow that symbolized enlightenment and devotion. The night sky was further illuminated by spectacular fireworks, adding to the celebratory ambiance. Additionally, boat rides were arranged, offering devotees a unique and serene experience amidst the festivities.
Dignitaries and Officials Grace the Ceremony
The ceremony was honored by the presence of esteemed dignitaries, with Punjab Governor Gulab Chand Kataria attending as the chief guest. He was accompanied by Anandpur Sahib MP Malvinder Singh Kang and Rajya Sabha MP Satnam Singh Sandhu, who joined in the celebrations.
