The famous Koolamedu jallikattu event in Salem district kicked off on Sunday with great enthusiasm. Rajya Sabha MP S R Sivalingam and Kallakurichi MP D Malaiyarasan officially inaugurated the traditional bull-taming spectacle.

A total of 550 powerful bulls and 400 skilled bull tamers took part in the thrilling event. Organizers ensured strict adherence to safety protocols right from the start.
