Chandrasekaran, who was in the city to attend the inauguration of eastern Uttar Pradesh's first Centre of Excellence at Maharana Pratap Institute of Technology, arrived at the temple in the afternoon with the chief minister. Together, they offered prayers to Guru Gorakhnath, following rituals accompanied by resonant Vedic chants that filled the sacred space.

After the puja, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, who serves as the head of the Gorakshpeeth, personally guided Chandrasekaran around the temple campus. At the temple, chief priest Yogi Kamalnath presented Chandrasekaran with a ceremonial angavastram, a traditional cloth inscribed with the words 'Shiv Goraksha,' along with prasad as a blessing. Following the visit, the Tata Sons chairman attended a lunch hosted by the Gorakshpeeth, further strengthening the bonds between the industrial leader and the spiritual institution.
