Rashmika Mandanna's Hyderabad Reception Look: A Masterclass in Traditional Bridal Elegance
Photos and videos from Rashmika Mandanna's Hyderabad wedding reception have captivated the internet since the event, and it's easy to understand why. The actor appeared as the epitome of a classic South Indian bride, radiating elegance and grace with an understated sophistication that felt both timeless and refreshingly authentic.
The Deep Red Mysore Silk Saree: A Tribute to Heritage
For the reception, Rashmika wore a custom ensemble from the renowned label JADE by MK, celebrated for its meticulous handwork. The centerpiece was a deep red Mysore silk saree, a color long cherished in bridal traditions for its symbolic richness. Adorned with delicate silver and gold taar embroidery inspired by traditional Indian patterns, the saree featured a border of rich gold zari that imparted a festive glow.
Notably, the design incorporated the Gandaberunda motif—a two-headed mythical bird associated with Mysore royalty—subtly woven into the embroidery in silver taar plated with gold. This detail, though understated, beautifully connected the look to Rashmika's cultural roots. The craftsmanship behind this piece came from the artisans of Chanakya International, an institution dedicated to preserving heritage embroidery techniques for decades, adding a layer of historical significance to the attire.
Jewellery That Tells a Story: The Peacock Fountain Necklace and More
The jewellery, sourced from SHREE Jewellers, elevated the look with its narrative depth. Rashmika adorned a statement Peacock Fountain necklace, crafted using traditional Nakshi artistry. This piece featured sculpted peacocks curving around a fountain-like design, symbolizing abundance and royalty, with cascading gold droplets that created fluid movement with every turn of her head.
The necklace was set with emeralds and customised Burma rubies in classic Kundan work, introducing rich green and red tones against the gold. Complementing this were a traditional oddiyanam (waist belt) inspired by the Gandaberunda motif, bold earrings mirroring the avian theme, lotus-patterned bangles with ruby accents, and a delicate hathphool. Each piece was thoughtfully connected, ensuring a cohesive and regal appearance.
Subtle Styling and Coordinated Ensemble
Rashmika's styling remained beautifully restrained, allowing the outfit and jewellery to shine. Her hair was styled in a neat centre-parted braid adorned with fresh flowers, reminiscent of traditional South Indian weddings. The makeup followed suit, with soft, glowing skin, kohl-lined eyes, and a muted lip color, avoiding any dramatic elements that might overpower the ensemble.
Meanwhile, Vijay Deverakonda kept things equally classic, wearing a coordinated ensemble from the same label. His angavastram featured the Gaja-Kesari motif, a symbol historically linked with strength and royalty, highlighting their shared appreciation for heritage craftsmanship.
A Celebration Rooted in Tradition
Rashmika and Vijay had previously tied the knot in an intimate ceremony in Udaipur, Rajasthan, on February 26, 2026. The Hyderabad reception on March 4 marked their first large-scale celebration with friends and colleagues from the film industry, turning into a star-studded affair.
Despite the surrounding glamour, Rashmika's look stood out for its deep-rooted tradition and effortless elegance. It was a testament to her personal style—quietly majestic, beautifully detailed, and authentically South Indian, making it a memorable highlight of the evening.
