Russell Wilson and Ciara Honored at Fashion Scholarship Fund's 89th Annual Gala in New York City

The former New York Giants quarterback Russell Wilson and singer-songwriter Ciara made a stylish appearance at the Fashion Scholarship Fund's 89th Annual Gala, held at The Glasshouse in New York City on Monday night, March 23. The NFL power couple was accompanied by their eldest daughter, Sienna Princess Wilson, aged 8, and Ciara's oldest son, Future Zahir Wilburn Wilson, aged 11, whom she shares with her ex-fiancé, rapper Future.

Fashion Fraternity Celebrates Scholars and Honors Industry Leaders

According to WWD's Lisa Lockwood, the fashion community gathered in full force to celebrate the Class of 2026 Fashion Scholarship Fund Scholars and Virgil Abloh Post-Modern Scholars at this prestigious event. The gala honored four industry leaders for their dedication to supporting the next generation of fashion talent, including Law Roach, Ciara, Russell Wilson, and Stefan Larsson.

The entire Wilson family showcased a coordinated look in varying shades of beige and white. Ciara, known for her hit "Level Up," wore a white, structured, collared shirt with high-waisted khaki trousers designed by Willy Chavarria. She accessorized with thick, black-framed glasses and a black cap tucked into her waistline. Russell Wilson opted for an untucked white Oxford shirt paired with green khakis and black puddle boots. Sienna donned a white knit jumper with a black mini skirt and long black boots, while Future chose an ultra-casual ensemble featuring a beige sweatshirt, sweatpants, and matching sneakers.

Inspiring Speeches and Scholarship Support

The event supports undergraduate students by providing scholarships, mentorship, internships, and career networking opportunities. Approximately 160 college students were awarded scholarships totaling over $1.9 million. During her award acceptance speech, Ciara addressed the students, emphasizing perseverance and the importance of dreaming big.

"Fashion is no joke," Ciara said. "It shapes culture. It makes statements. It brings people together. Don't be afraid of the hard moments along the way. Every challenge, every setback, every time you push through doubt... trust that those are just your beauty marks in the making. Keep dreaming big. Keep believing in your vision."

Russell Wilson, the former Denver Broncos quarterback, also shared words of encouragement: "Adversity is going to be a part of the journey. Fear, doubt, setbacks... those things show up at every level. What has inspired us most tonight is seeing all of you bringing your ideas to this industry. Think about how your creativity can open doors for others and make an impact beyond yourself." The couple was joined on stage by their eldest children, Sienna and Future.

Russell Wilson's NFL Future Speculation

Regarding Wilson's gridiron future, ESPN's Rich Cimini has suggested that the New York Jets could be a potential landing spot for the 37-year-old free agent as a backup plan. Cimini had previously mentioned Joe Flacco on March 22, but two days later, Flacco re-signed a one-year contract with the Cincinnati Bengals as a veteran backup to Joe Burrow. This development leaves Wilson's options open, sparking speculation about whether he might sign with another New York franchise, such as the Jets, rather than returning to the Giants. Only time will reveal the outcome.

The Fashion Scholarship Fund Gala not only highlighted fashion and philanthropy but also showcased the Wilson family's commitment to inspiring the next generation through their words and presence.
