- 1 cup curd (yogurt)
- 2–3 tablespoons milk
- Salt to taste

- 1/2 teaspoon mustard seeds
- 1 teaspoon urad dal (split black gram)
- 1–2 green chilies
- A few curry leaves
- 1 small piece ginger
- A pinch of asafoetida (hing)
- 2 tablespoons coriander leaves
- 2 tablespoons pomegranate seeds

Step 1: First, chop the ginger, green chilies, and coriander leaves. Set them aside for later use.
