She highlighted the world-class accommodation options and the city's divine atmosphere that left a lasting impression. According to Shailendra Kumar Awasthi, manager of the Udupi to Mumbai restaurant, four major restaurants are currently operating with approximately 10 new projects under construction.
The sector has already deployed Rs 70 crore of the targeted Rs 100 crore investment, generating substantial business volumes. Awasthi revealed that his restaurant now serves between 2,000 to 3,000 visitors daily, with numbers reaching 5,000 during special occasions. The monthly business has soared to an impressive Rs 5-6 crore, demonstrating the scale of the tourism boom.
Local Businesses Reap Benefits
The economic benefits are spreading across the community, creating employment opportunities for youth in Ayodhya and neighboring districts. Small hotels and guest houses are witnessing unprecedented growth, as confirmed by Durgesh Verma of Kaka Guest House.
Daily revenue has skyrocketed from Rs 3,000 to Rs 15,000, with occupancy rates remaining consistently high. Verma noted that foreign visitors are contributing significantly to this surge, indicating the international appeal of the transformed city.
Local lyricist Vikalp Trivedi captured the emotional significance of Ayodhya's transformation, stating that the long-awaited dream of the Ram Temple has finally become reality. He highlighted the symbolic importance of the saffron flag scheduled to be hoisted on November 25 as representing a historic moment for the city and its devotees.
