In a significant move to prepare for the upcoming spiritual season, the state of Uttarakhand has officially commenced the registration process for the Char Dham Yatra in 2026. Both online and offline registration services are now operational, catering to the thousands of pilgrims expected to undertake this revered annual pilgrimage. According to the official website managed by Uttarakhand tourism, registrations for the Char Dham route and Hemkund Sahib have already begun. Pilgrims can register through the dedicated official website or by downloading the mobile application available on various platforms. For those unable to access online services, offline registration facilities have been established. Registration counters started operating at the Rishikul Grounds in Haridwar on April 17, where over 150 pilgrims registered within the first two hours. The venue features 20 counters offering all-night registration services through three shifts to accommodate the influx.

The pilgrimage season is set to commence on April 19, 2026, aligning with the auspicious festival of Akshaya Tritiya.
