Jharkhand Tourism Minister Inaugurates Major Development Projects at Dalma Wildlife Sanctuary
In a significant boost to eco-tourism in the region, Jharkhand State Tourism Minister Sudivya Kumar officially flagged off five new jungle safari vehicles at the Dalma Wildlife Sanctuary (DWS) on Saturday. The minister also presided over the foundation stone laying ceremony for 30 eco-cottages, strategically located at Makulakocha and Pindrabera within the sanctuary premises.
Enhancing Visitor Experience and Infrastructure
The newly launched jungle safari vehicles are equipped with trained guides to assist visitors throughout their journey. These experts will ensure a smooth and educational ride, helping tourists better understand the rich forest ecosystem and diverse wildlife inhabiting the sanctuary. This initiative aims to provide an immersive and informative experience for nature enthusiasts and wildlife lovers.
Simultaneously, the foundation stone was laid for 30 eco-cottages, with 15 units planned at both Makulakocha and Pindrabera sites. These cottages will collectively offer 59 rooms, designed to blend harmoniously with the natural surroundings while providing comfortable accommodation for visitors seeking an extended stay in the wilderness.
Minister's Vision for Dalma as a Tourism Hub
During the ceremony, Minister Sudivya Kumar emphasized the strategic importance of these developments. "Dalma is the centre of Jharkhand's natural heritage," he stated. "The commitment to develop it as a tourism hub is progressing with the launch of the jungle safari, and the foundation laying for eco-cottages. These facilities will give the region a fresh identity and generate local employment."
He further highlighted that these new amenities are expected to redefine Dalma's profile, attracting more tourists and creating sustainable livelihood opportunities for local communities.
