New Vadodara-Navi Mumbai Flight by IndiGo from Dec 30

In a significant boost to regional air connectivity, IndiGo Airlines has announced the launch of a new direct flight service between Vadodara and Navi Mumbai. The service is scheduled to commence operations on December 30, 2025, providing a crucial link for travellers between Gujarat and the extended metropolitan region of Mumbai.

Flight Schedule and Operational Details

According to officials at Vadodara Airport, the new flight will follow a convenient daily schedule on five days of the week. The aircraft will depart from Navi Mumbai at 3:00 PM and is scheduled to arrive in Vadodara at 4:05 PM. For the return journey, the flight will leave Vadodara at 4:40 PM and touch down in Navi Mumbai at 5:45 PM. The service will operate on all days except Mondays and Thursdays.

Strengthening Vadodara's Air Network

This new route is strategically important and is expected to primarily benefit business commuters and passengers destined for Mumbai's growing satellite city and its surrounding areas. It adds another key destination to Vadodara Airport's portfolio, which already boasts a robust network under the revised winter schedule effective from December 1, 2025.

Currently, Vadodara Airport operates multiple daily flights to major Indian cities. The key sectors include:

  • Delhi: The busiest sector with several daily flights operated by both Air India and IndiGo.
  • Mumbai: Maintains multiple daily connections.
  • Bengaluru: Serviced with daily flights.
  • Hyderabad and Goa: Accessible via direct and triangular routing.
  • Pune: Connected on select days.
  • Chennai: Linked with weekly services.

Impact and Future Prospects

Airport authorities have indicated that the existing flight schedule reflects a steady and strong passenger demand, particularly on the lucrative Delhi and Mumbai routes. The introduction of the Navi Mumbai flight is anticipated to further solidify Vadodara's position as a well-connected regional hub, catering to the evolving travel needs of both business and leisure passengers. This enhancement in connectivity is likely to foster economic and cultural exchanges between the two regions.
