Jharkhand Tourism Secretary Conducts Inspection at Chhinnamastika Temple in Ramgarh
State Tourism Secretary Mukesh Kumar made a significant visit to the historic Chhinnamastika Temple in Ramgarh district on Thursday, conducting a thorough inspection of the temple premises where a major redevelopment project is planned. This marks the first official visit by the tourism secretary following a crucial directive from the Jharkhand High Court.
High Court Directive Prompts Temple Survey
The inspection comes in direct response to an April 1 order from a Jharkhand High Court bench comprising Justice Sujit Narayan Prasad and Justice Sanjay Prasad. The court had specifically directed Tourism Secretary Mukesh Kumar and Ramgarh Deputy Commissioner Faiz Aq Ahmed Mumtaz to conduct a comprehensive survey of the temple premises and submit a detailed beautification proposal to the court for approval.
Comprehensive Redevelopment Plan Under Review
During his visit, Secretary Kumar meticulously reviewed the ambitious redevelopment blueprint that encompasses multiple enhancement initiatives. The comprehensive plan includes:
- A major beautification project aimed at enhancing the temple's aesthetic appeal and spiritual ambiance
- Development of modern amenities specifically designed for the comfort and convenience of visiting devotees
- Infrastructure improvements to support the growing number of pilgrims and tourists
The temple inspection represents a critical step in implementing the court-ordered beautification initiative, with Kumar examining current conditions and assessing requirements for the proposed enhancements. The redevelopment project aims to transform the Chhinnamastika Temple into a more accessible, visually appealing, and devotee-friendly religious site while preserving its cultural and spiritual significance.
This development underscores the Jharkhand government's commitment to religious tourism infrastructure and heritage preservation, with the temple project expected to boost both spiritual tourism and local economic activity in the Ramgarh region once completed.
