Uttarakhand Launches Nationwide Roadshow to Promote 365-Day Tourism
Uttarakhand's Nationwide Roadshow for Year-Round Tourism

In a major push to attract visitors throughout the year, the Uttarakhand government has launched its first-ever nationwide integrated roadshow campaign. The ambitious initiative commenced from the national capital, New Delhi, on Saturday, with the goal of transforming the state's image into a perennial tourism hub.

A Grand Launch in the Capital

The curtain-raiser event in Delhi was a significant gathering, drawing over 250 stakeholders from the tourism and hospitality sectors. Representatives from Uttarakhand and the Delhi NCR region participated actively. The campaign is being conducted under the direct guidance of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami and Tourism Minister Satpal Maharaj.

Tourism Minister Satpal Maharaj graced the event as the chief guest. He was joined by key officials including Tourism Secretary Dheeraj Singh Garbyal, Additional Secretary Abhishek Ruhela, GMVN Managing Director Vishal Mishra, and KMVN Managing Director Vineet Tomar. Senior officials delivered detailed presentations highlighting the diverse tourism products and lucrative business opportunities available across the state.

Showcasing a 365-Day Tourism Vision

The core objective of this multi-city outreach is to systematically promote Uttarakhand as a destination that offers compelling experiences across all seasons. The state aims to move beyond traditional peak-season travel and build a resilient 365-day tourism economy.

The campaign will showcase a wide spectrum of offerings, including:

  • Adventure tourism for thrill-seekers
  • Rich cultural and spiritual circuits
  • Wellness and yoga retreats
  • Winter tourism activities
  • Nature-based and wildlife ecotourism
  • Wedding tourism destinations

As part of the launch event, industry experts shared insights and held discussions on critical growth areas such as hospitality expansion, homestay development, and promoting niche segments like winter and adventure tourism.

National Tour and Strategic Partnerships

Following the successful Delhi launch, the roadshow series is scheduled to travel to several major metropolitan cities across India. This nationwide tour is designed to engage directly with the national travel trade, including tour operators and agents, to forge strong partnerships.

The roadshow format includes business-to-business (B2B) meetings, interactive sessions, and networking engagements. According to the tourism department, the campaign will also focus on developing new tourism products and forming collaborations to boost Uttarakhand's presence in both domestic and international travel markets.

This strategic move underscores Uttarakhand's commitment to not just attracting more tourists, but also ensuring that the economic benefits of tourism are sustained throughout the entire calendar year, supporting local businesses and communities consistently.
